{NT}Nightcrawler Facts!

No particular order,feel free to add on!

**Nightcrawler first appeared in Giant-sized X-Men#1(1975)

**Nightcrawler creator Dave Cockrum originally offered Kurt to DC comics for membership of the "Legion of Superheroes" but was rejected because he was to funny looking.

**In Cockrums original conception Kurt was a
demon from Hell who flubbed a mission and rather than go back and face punishment he decided to stay on Earth.He was to be the sidekick to another character called "The Intruder."

**Nightcrawler was originally written to be a bitter demonby Len Wein but when Claremont came on board he decided that it would be more interesting to read about a charming swashbuckler trapped inside the body of a demon(Lets thank CC for that one!)

**Abandoned at birth Nightcrawler was raised by a witch who posed as a fortune-teller and traveled with a circus named Margali Szardos,along with her own children Stefan and Jimaine Szardos.

**In the travelling circus in wich Kurt grew up he became that Circus's star performer as a trapese artist.

**Later on Nightcrawler closeness with his foster sister Jimaine grew into a romantic relationship wich has been an on again off again affair ever sinse.Theyy remain good friends.

**Nightcrawlers beloved foster brother Stefan went mad and ended up killing innocent children,when Kurt came apon him he tryed to stop Stefan and in the struggle he accidently broke his neck.This has plagued Kurt ever sinse.

**There has always been a hinted connection between X-Men enemy Mystique and Nightcrawlwer,rescently Mystique has been revealed to be Kurts birth mother.

**Kurts birthfather has yet to be revealed but speculation has been a German Count,the X-Men villian Sabretooth and......

**Claremonts original idea was to have Mystique be Kurts father-who she at the time was morphed into a man had impregnated his/her long time friend and Brotherhood teamate Destiny(this would be a bit heavy for a saturday morning cartoon me thinks heh)

**Nightcrawlers birth brother is slain leader of anti-mutant propaganda and senator Graydon Creed.

**Originally Kurts appearance frightened his young teamate Kitty Pryde aka Shadowcat but sinse have grown to be close friends.

**Those X-men teamates closet to Nightcrawler are Wolverine and Shadowcat.

**Kurts favorite actors are Fred Astaire and Eryol Flynn.

**Kurts favorite Movie is "Star Wars" and his favorite character is Chewbacca.

**Kurt was almost killed during the X-Mens "Mutant Massacre" storyline and ended up in a coma for a year before awakening and forming the Superhero group EXCALIBUR!

**Kurts presumed birthplace is Windzeldorf Germany,somewhere in the Bavarian Alps.

HE'S BLUE AND FUZZY!!!

He's got a tail, pointy ears, pointy canines, three fingers, and two toes (all these attributes seem to depend on the artist).
